The pristine environment of Kangaroo Island is the world’s only sanctuary for the Ligurian honeybee, making the island the only area in the world where pure Ligurian bees are known to exist.
Twelve hives were brought to the island in 1881 and their descendants now produce superb honeys from flowering eucalypts and other flora.
The fact that Kangaroo Island lies 13kms from the mainland, which is more than a bee can fly, has helped preserve the island from most diseases and contaminants that have affected the Australian mainland, and the rest of the world.
The Ligurian bee is known to forage primarily for the health of the hive, and this in turn produces some of the best and healthiest honey in the world.

Raw Honey can be also used to help heal minor wounds
Raw honey will help keep the wound area clean and moist, which promotes healing. Honey’s natural antibacterial properties reduce the chance of infection and protect the injured area.
After cleaning the wound, spread on a thick coat of honey and then apply a light bandage, if necessary. Of course, you may have to also use an Elizabethan collar or similar device to stop your dog from licking the area!

Why do you use offal?
A raw diet isn’t complete without offal. Compared to regular cuts of muscle meat, organ meats are more densely packed with just about every nutrient, including heavy doses of B vitamins such as B1, B2, B6, folic acid, and vitamin B12. Organ meats are also loaded with minerals like phosphorus, iron, copper, magnesium, and iodine and provide the essential fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. These vitamins and minerals are critical to the health and wellbeing of your pet.

Can I Cook it?
The raw diet is designed to be eaten raw and fresh. Cooking destroys vitamins and changes the molecular structure of protein and fats. Domestic dogs and cats haven’t evolved to eat cooked food. The digestive tract of a domestic dog is no different from a wolf or a domestic cat to a wild cat.
My dog seems to have allergies/skin issues. Can I feed them this diet?
So many pet foods these days are loaded with grains, preservatives and artificial additives that can all adversely impact your pets overall health - causing allergies & skin issues.
