How much should I feed my dog?
Every dog is unique, which is one of the things we love about them.
The amount your dog needs will depend on their age, weight, metabolism and activity level. That's why we've created a simple feeding guide to help you get started.

How do I thaw raw food?
Raw feeding should fit into everyday life.
Simply place your Somerford meal in the refrigerator and allow it to thaw for 12-24 hours. If you need it sooner, place the sealed pack in cold water and change the water regularly.
Many of our long-term raw feeders portion meals in advance and safely refreeze them for convenience.
Just like any fresh food, handle it with normal kitchen hygiene and you'll be ready to serve a meal your dog will love.
Are the meals naturally complete and balanced?

Puppies have different nutritional requirements to adult dogs.

How is the food delivered?
Every order is packed frozen and delivered using the same cold-chain logistics trusted throughout the food industry.
Your meals are packed in insulated packaging with ice packs to help maintain temperature during transit.

How long does the food last after thawing?
Once thawed in the refrigerator, we recommend using your meals within 4 days.
Many members of the Somerford community thaw several meals at a time and portion them into daily serves for convenience.
Simply keep the food refrigerated and treat it as you would any fresh food in your kitchen.
